"In an iconographic way the three Wise Men have changed over the years. First they were three young men with similar look. Later they were associated to the three men age: young, adult and old, and at the end of the middle age they added the characteristic features known till then.

The Cau Ferrat museum keeps two Kings that came from the Epiphany altarpiece of the Jaca Cathedral (Huesca) that belong to the second typology. They represent a standing middle aged man and a young one, ready to offer the present they carry in their hands. The figure that completed the ensemble, with an old look and kneeling, belongs to the Diocesan Museum collection of the Jaca Cathedral.

The majesty typical of such a celebrity persons considered astrologers, but also kings, has been strengthened with the profuse use of golden colour, absolute protagonist of their clothing."
