A pencil sketch from the old family sketch book of Sir Arnold Wilson, the elder son of Canon J.M. Wilson. The artist was Mrs M.A. Goodman, an aunt of Canon Wilson, on his mother's side. Her maiden name was Pears. The sketches were made round about 1835, when Sir Arnold's grandfather, the Reverend Edward Wilson, was Principle of King William's College.
