The inhabitants of Purulia, a city in West Bengal, have created Chhau, as the inhabitants of Purulia, a dance with masks and acrobatic movements that takes up stories of classical Indian epics such as the Mahabharata and Ramayana, and ancient ritual dances to provide hunting.
