Kitakyushu Manga Museum Permanent Display

In this section, the manga artist Leiji Matsumoto's background and his achievements are introduced. Matsumoto, who grew up in Kokura, was also influenced by movies and music. He was especially influenced by the American magazines and manga brought by the U.S. occupation forces stationed in Kokura.
