The Klasies River Caves are a series of caves and shelters located to the east of the Klasies river Mouth, on the southern Cape coast of South Africa. The caves and contain archaeological evidence of Middle Stone Age occupations, associated human habitation from approximately 125 000 years ago.
It has been excavated for many years, with Professor Sarah Wurz at the University of the Witwatersrand being the most recent principal excavator at the site.
