The picture shows a group of people on the central square in Knjaževac, a former Knjaževac market with recognizable motifs and objects of town architecture. The composition is centrally placed. In the centre is a figure of a child with a toy and a cradle behind which stand two women in civic costumes and a man in civic clothes. A group of people was placed in the recognizable ambience of the former town square, or marketplace. On the right, there is the building of the Hotel Paris demolished at the end of the 70s of the 20th century, in the centre is the building of the cafe Nacional, while on the right is a visible part of the old bazaar and the town water spring. The central position of the painting is occupied by outline of the monument dedicated to the fighters who died in the Serbian-Turkish wars, and which was destroyed in the war devastation of Knjaževac.
