The name, Korean Type Bronze Dagger, is given from that this types of dagger have been found only in the south of Cheongcheon river. Experts believe that the dagger came from the mainland in korea as the settlers at that period in Jeju didn't manufacture bronze artifacts. They also believe that the bronze dagger, which was an extremely rare, and hence priceless, item in the period when it was introduced, was owned by a man of power and influence in the northern part of Jeju for the 10th century BCE off and on.
