Kotchakampravet Prasat possessed a ‘prasat’ which is a multi-tiered architectural element reserved for a King; and thus, the structure had never previously existed at the Front Palace which is traditionally home to a Viceroy. Kotchakampravet Prasat was located to the front of Buddhaisawan Chapel, which was in the center court of the Front Palace. Once utilized to mount elephants, during King Rama IV's reign the structure played an important role in important royal ceremoniesThis structure no longer exists in modern-day Bangkok.
