Koushna Navabi, 'Woman, Life, Freedom'

In 2023, Navabi launched Artists for Woman Life Freedom in response to the death of Mahsa Jina Amini—a 22-yeard old student who died after being arrested by the Iranian ‘morality police,’ and to raise awareness of Iranian women and girls who are fighting for human rights against the Islamic Republic. Navabi enlisted fellow artists Hadi Falaphishi, Anahita Razmi, Abbas Zahedi and herself to create posters that have been installed in cities in the UK and France. These artist-designed posters with the protest slogan ‘Woman, Life, Freedom’ can be seen throughout Arévalo.
