Mikołaj Długosz's realisations rely largely on “found” photographic and archival materials, which the artist utilises to construct original stories. Krakow – Aerial View is a project that consists of an artist's book and photographic installation. Mikołaj Długosz used aerial views of the city to design a photo wallpaper, with which he covered the floor of the Bunkier Sztuki Gallery. The aim was to show the institution against the background and in relation to its nearest surrounding – the Old Town and adjoining districts. The size of the photograph and its new utilitarian function allowed the visitors to watch and wander around the city from a new perspective.
