Depicted on one side of the vessel, attributed to the Darius Painter, is the departure of Amphiaraus, a warrior and soothsayer of Argos, for the expedition of the “Seven against Thebes”; Helios on his chariot is painted on the neck. Depicted on the other side, inside a funerary building (naiskos), is a youth surrounded by a funeral procession of male and female figures; on the neck is Dionysus, seated between a Satyr and a Maenad.
