King Frederik 2´s Royal Tapestries - The Kronborg Drapes. The tapestries together with a matching tablecovering were earmarked for the great hall of Kronborg Castle. They were part of a suite of 43 tapestries with depictions of Danish kings. The tapestries were woven in Elsinore 1881-84 by waevers brought in from the Low Countries after the designs of artist Hans Knieper.
