Ksiaz Castle is a castle in northern Walbrzych in Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland. The largest castle in the region of Silesia, it is the third-largest in Poland, behind Malbork Castle and Wawel Castle. It lies within Ksiaz Landscape Park, a protected area located in the Sudetes and Sudeten Foreland.
There are many legends about Ksiaz Castle, the most famous of which concerns Princess Daisy. She was an Englishwoman who, at the age of 18, married the last lord of Ksiaz, Prince John Henry XV. She was famous for her great beauty, but also for her charitable activities, which did not stop her from surrounding herself with jewelry and valuable objects. Particularly admired was a seven-meter long string of pearls, which was allegedly cursed. Because of him, Daisy could not experience happiness and her life became a series of misfortunes. After her death, she returns to the castle and wanders its halls as the White Lady.
