The "Komet" television cabinet by Kuba (specialists in furniture for audio devices) contained a radio, television, record player, loudspeakers, and an optional tape recorder, and is a testament to the German economic miracle with its daring, futuristic design. The main body of the cabinet is made of light flame maple wood and dark-brown wenge. The rotating top has inlays in the form of a geometric pattern and stripes. At a price of around DM 3000, it cost as much as a small car.
