"That's the KYOK Sock Hop we had every Friday night. At this time, we held it at the Pilgrim Auditorium, which is no longer in existence. It was the only black building in town that was above three stories high. We used to go there and put our hops on every Friday. After that, we moved to KYOK's own studio downtown.
