“'Kyr' is a choreography on rock music. Rock includes many different kinds of music of varied social attitudes. With the group The Tractor's Revenge, I have written richly percussive music of intense rhythmic energy. It is music against which the dancers will be able to express both their most violent emotions (isn't emotion itself movement?), and their most private, secret responses. I like extremes. They give me greater space and wider range for my creativity. The rock introduction stems from this taste for extremes; in Hebrew, kyr means wall - not an outside wall (homa) but an indoor wall, a partition.” – Ohad Naharin
