This device, invented by Emil Du Bois-Raymond (1818-1896), is an induction coil used to produce variable intensity electrical energy. It is composed of a wooden rectangular base with two coils: a fixed coil and a movable coil. Moving the second coil at a considerable distance from the fixed one, it was possible diversify the intensity of the electrical discharge.
