Artist Statement: “I have been painting the myths and popular legends of my country, Paraguay, as well as those of South America, for over ten years now. During this time the combination of different disciplines such as drawing, photography and cinema concepts deeply influenced my paintings. Drawing gave me the freedom to represent multiple figures in a pictorial space. Photography gave me spontaneous perception to capture their psychological momentum. Cinema concepts helped me consolidate my pictorial narrative and understand the relationship of time and space.”
