The ensemble of the Portico of Glory was completed with a façade that opened to the outside. However, after the decision of the Cabildo, it was decided to place doors and close the cathedral. This first modification occurred between 1520-1521 affected the lower part of the cover. In it, a series of statues-columns were removed and, therefore, it was blurred from this perspective, part of the narrative that contributed to the discourse of the Portico
