La Mejorada winery and its vineyards have been set up in an old Jerome monastery, founded in the 15th century by Fernando I of Aragon. Thanks to the architect Rafeal Moneo and his family, the monastery of La Mejorada is, today, almost entirely restored and adapted to the typical activities of a winery.
Since 2004, Winery and Vineyards La Mejorada produces the best red wines under the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) of Wines from Castilla y León – Las Cercas, Las Norias, Villalar and Tiento -, manufactured with extreme care by a team of oenologists and technicians.
