La Puerta landscape

“The river Solana flows under it and seeps between two big blocks of rocks shaped like a saw, or better yet, like a rooster crest” Journey to the Alcarria, Camilo Jose Cela. The name of this rocky promontory is Cerro de las Piedras, its mission is to shield the village of La Puerta from bad western winds.
