"This is one of the eleven canvas painted in the year 1895 to decorate the walls of the old bar Cau Ferrat, located in La Ribera promenade in Sitges.

The author, the autodidact painter, Joaquim de Miró (Sitges, 1849 – 1914), was a member of the Luminista School in Sitges. This colouristic and meticulous work is characterized by painting daily scenes and local countryside.

In this case Joaquim de Miró represented a usual scene during harvest time in a little village where till then farming, malmsey wine production and commercialization have been one of the local economy bases."
