Narcís Galià i Adell (1925) From 1972 to 1990 he was a lecturer and later a professor of the Faculty of Fine Art at Barcelona University. He now lives and works in Alcanar (Montsià). Narcís Galià soaks up the light of Montsià and projects and releases it with intensity through the large rose window of colours that is the painter’s palette. A beautiful illumination over geographical landscapes that become classics and take on their own life. The painting of Galià is the result of his integration in the landscape. His landscapes seem to have been absorbed slowly and then poured out on to the canvas with their splendid range of explosions and nuances.
