The Lefébure factory was active in Bayeux between 1829 and 1932. This was one of the most important French lace houses of this period. Great connoisseurs of the history of hand-made lace, Auguste Lefébure, and then his son Ernest, approached perfection in the virtuosic creation of ancient and contemporary point techniques. Here, the Flanders style lace technique in a historical interpretive version.
