The filigree buckle consists of two three-lobed parts that resemble lilies. It is decorated with polychrome enamelled ornaments: naturalistic tulips bending outwards from the middle vase. The lock is enriched with seven tiny diamonds in a column on either side, equipped with a chain for the pendent pearls. The buckle can be opened by pushing the fluted knobs at the top and bottom at the same time. The technique and motifs of the decoration are good examples of the national, folkloric trends of Hungarian Art Nouveau. The buckle was exhibited at the 1904 Christmas exhibition of the Hungarian Society for Applied Arts.
