A: Dress in black rayon crepe and black silk taffeta; below-knee length; taffeta front and crepe back bodice fitted through waist; high neck with white cotton pique collar and center front bow; padded shoulders; long crepe sleeves with pique at two-button cuffs; flared rayon crepe skirt; draped front apron in black taffeta with woven ball trim; half belt, tying center back waist; black plastic button closure down center front bodice, proper left side zipper closure in skirt; unlined. B: Boater hat in black straw; high crown; moderate brim; black velvet ribbon forming bow center front; glycerined black ostrich feathers. C-D: Pair of gloves in white suede; wrist-length; three welt seamed strips back palm. E-F: Pair of open-toed pumps in black polished leather; upper strap extends to toebox, fastening with self tab; 3 1/4-inch heel. Label, A: Maurice Rentner.
