Lady Nancy Crathorne

Lady Nancy Crathorne (1904-1969) led the successful fundraising appeal for the restoration of the Georgian Theatre Royal. She was the wife of Thomas Dugdale who was the MP for Richmond between 1929 and 1959 and later became the 1st Baron Crathorne. Nancy Crathorne’s daughter-in-law, Lady Sylvia Crathorne (1942-2009), led the further development and restoration of the theatre in 2003.
