This is a delicate "lady" type doll, with the head, the bust and the hands in biscuit, the body and the legs in wood. Its serene beauty is typical of ladies of the XIXth century: large blue eyes, thick eyebrows, long eyelashes, round cheeks, a closed mouth and pierced ears. It is wearing a mohair wig on an original structure in cork. § It is able to execute four different movements. § It can produce two different melodies of which the titles are noted on the original label from the Paris shop: "Froufrou valse" and "Fredonne des chasseurs". § It is wearing an original dress in smooth silk and brocade, with puff sleeves and a tight blouse decorated with a row of pearls. Its skirt is in wild silk and its apron in tulle with embroidered flowers. It also wears silk moccasins. § In one hand, it holds an original fan decorated with flowers and feathers; in the other hand, a pair of glasses with their pink case. § The doll is sitting on a wooden box covered in red velvet which hides the mechanism.
