Lamentation over dead Christ

On a desert background the Virgin is portrayed at the foot of the Cross, seated on a rock on which also Christ's pelvis rests; Mary holds her son's upper body on her knees. She wears a red dress and blue veil. On the left are the Three Marys in an upright position and in a sad attitude, while on the right appears Mary Magdalene seated on a rock with her hands joined. At the feet of the Virgin there's a crown of thorns.
