This board is a bit of a mystery its origins are unknown. The first generation of surfboards in Australia were constructed from solid pieces of timber, this board shows a departure from that method of construction. It features a sandwich construction of alternating layers of pine and cedar with the layers caulked and dowel rods pinning it all together. Laminated boards like this were produced in California and Hawaii in both kit and finished form.
