The conical, opaque, polychrome Tiffany-glass lampshade is divided into six sections by lobed metal ribs with rocaille motifs. It is supported by a Neorococo plinth, and has an artichoke-shaped finial in the centre. This object shows the influence of rococo, which was inherited and used as source by Art Nouveau. It is especially apparent in the decoration of the setting - the shape and colours of the shade are, on the other hand, Art Nouveau-style. Based on her most recent research the author revises earlier attribution of this lamp to L. C. Tiffany.
