"Lancha" ou "Galeão" da Nazaré

Nazaré, a land of long-lasting maritime traditions, associated with the courage of the fishermen and the tragic condition of the women, in permanent fear and distress for the danger that the life of the sea subjected their men. Distinguished by its ethnographic particularities, the Nazarene fishing community occupies an important place in the maritime cultures of the Portuguese coast. This ship is one of the material elements of this cultural identity.
