Landing / Landung is a work by the German artist Rosa Loy (Zwickau, Germany, 1958). One of the few female artists associated with the New Leipzig School, Loy combines exquisite technique with pseudo-fairy tales, social realism, and an overflowing imagination to create unique works featuring women as protagonists. In Loy’s intimate narratives, women interact with an increasingly complex universe, shaping their world through myriad encounters. “There are as many women as there are reasons to paint them”, says the German artist.
