During the Great Patriotic War from 1941 to 1943, the artist was evacuated to Bashkiria and Central Asia (Samarkand). Samarkand landscapes became one of the most interesting periods of the late works of Falk. The artist saw all the most ordinary phenomena of Central Asia as wise and logical.
