Nassir Chaura (1920 - 1992)
The work entitled "Landscape" by Nassir Shoura reveals the artist's desire to go beyond the realistic expressionism he used in previous works. We see the trees have become simplified to near abstraction while retaining the primary role of color in expression despite the artist's departure from the natural color of the plants. Here, the landscape elements are complete: a land line, a horizon line, and plants arranged according to the human eye's perception. However, the artist's aesthetic focus seems to be caring about composition and the exploration for a regenerative artistic form.
