Antoni Pedrola Font (1928) Painter and lecturer at the Sant Jordi School of Fine Art in Pictoric Procedure from 1973 until his retirement. In his representation of the landscape or human figures, the artist prefers substantial forms, essential for the backbone of the creative discourse, and a formal simplicity of said discourse. Consequently, the symbolic value impregnates the entire objectiveness of the work which, removed from the continuity of space and time, becomes a meeting point between humans and the universe. Without the ties of movement, with huge stains of colour, warm and in contrast with each other, he goes beyond traditional boundaries, light and shade, and clearly demonstrates his spirituality and imagination.
