  • Artist Biography: Mino Maccari was a very important Italian writer, painter, journalist and editor. Born in Siena, he chose Colle di Val d'Elsa like an ideal homeland, and here he founded the magazine "Il Selvaggio" (The savage), one of the most representative in the 30s in Italy. He was in contact with the main intellectual of those times and very prolific in drawings, etchings, paintings and book illustrations.
