An image taken by the Lantern and Lens Guild of Women photographers in the first half of the 20th century. Pictures in this collection depict the meetings and pilgrimages of the Guild members, who often appear in the images. Eugenia Hornor, Marian Little, Mrs. Fisher, Ellen Fowler, Margaret Bodine, Amy Zulich, Mrs. Crisheim, and Mrs. William H. Rau were a few of the members. Some of the locales pictured in the slides are as follows: Chestnut Hill; Keene Valley, New York in 1931; Ogunquit, Maine in 1930-31; New Hope Canal in 1928; Birmingham in 1928; Florida in 1931; and the garden of Mrs. Charles Biddle. Of note are the slides that depict the interior and exterior of the Gild House at 1203 St. James Street, Philadelphia. A few slides are in color.
