Title: Lantern Slide
Provenance: Advertisement by Sym Choon's retailers, a prominent Chinese dynasty based in Rundle Street, Adelaide. Interestingh connection between fireworks, (tradtionally considered a Chinese Product, aktghough they may have been sourced locally in this case) and the English Celebration of Guy Fawkers Day which was also extensively celebrated in Australia (slogan remember 5th December')cf. HT 2009.237/238 (S)Cinema advertising slide may be of interest to researchers of cinema technology. Image is aesthetically appealing and may also be of interest to those studying design. Incorporates Chinese Motifs Museum also holds fireworks sold by Sym Choons (2209.174-175)
