Sculpted marble torso of a cavalryman wearing a plain lorica (body armour or cuirass), and a paludamentum (military cloak). He is also wearing a narrow sword-belt and a broad sash with tasselled ends tied in front in a knot. The right arm is broken off at the shoulder, and the right shoulder piece of lorica is missing. A portion of the neck is preserved, with muscles strongly rendered. In the surface of the neck is a square dowel-hole for attaching the head.
