The establishment of Imari kinrande (gold decoration on colored ground) wares were based on reproductions of Chinese kinrande wares. But after its establishment it surpassed Kakiemon wares as the most popular export ware to Europe. This charger is a typical export ware popular in Europe. The design rendered in underglaze blue with red and gold painting has an extravagant flair.
