Large groundstone ring manufactured from a dense, gray vesicular basalt. Torus has a roughly centered biconical perforation with a central ridge. Torus was recovered from a habitation area at the Pueblo Grande site; this area contained both pithouses and a well preserved compound with at least 17 rooms. Pueblo Grande was a large village located at the headgates of a major canal system. Occupied as early as AD 500, the site reached its greatest extent during the Classic Period.
