Large watercolour painting of the courtyard of the Masjid al-Haram, with pilgrims around the Ka‘bah signed Aslanisky, 1394 124 x 173.5 cm As the belt of the Ka‘bah in the painting is in the name of King ‘Abdallah ibn ‘Abd al-‘Aziz (r. 2005–2015), the date of 1394 can not be according to the Hijri calendar (equivalent to 1974 AD), as this precedes King ‘Abdallah’s reign, and probably follows the Shamsi calendar (1394 SH is equivalent to 2015 AD)
