As well as the Pelourinho and the Largo of São Francisco, the neighbourhood of Largo do Carmo (which ends at Largo de Santo Antônio Além do Carmo) is also part of the Cultural Heritage listed by UNESCO. In this area you can find the Fort of Santo Antônio and the religious buildings of the Church and Convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo and the Church of Ordem Terceira do Carmo.
