Educated at Émile Gallé workshops due to his in-depth botanic knowledge and to his talent as a designer, he will become one of the closest collaborator of the French master. After World War I, he will found, with other artists as well, a workshop that will sign their designs under the name of d’Argental and which was to be active until 1923, when he will work on his own, signing his glass works himself.
His designs stand out for their decorative quality and technical perfection. This author knew how to adapt to the emerging tastes, evolving from the Art Nouveau ornate glass to more suitable designs of Art Déco.
