The Laser 200 is an interesting aircraft as it refers to a Stephens Akro home built aerobatic airplane, highly modified by pilot Leo Loudenslager specifically for aerobatic competition. In the 1970s, Leo utilized the Laser 200 to win the United States Aerobatic Championship seven times and the World Aerobatic Championship in 1980. Many of the top aerobatic planes seen at airshows today closely model this legendary aircraft. On display is a Laser 200 type aircraft built and flown by Jim Roberts, a member of the United States Aerobatic Team in 1981-1982.
