Composition in black and white. Contour lines. It depicts three cowboys roping a steer. The ox is on the left, kneeling in front, and Lacy by three men. The first man is in profile to the left, holds with both hands a kind of rope is with the head, on the left leg ahead. The second cowboy faces, legs apart and holding the rope with both hands. Both wear typical clothes cowboy: hat, coat, pants at the ankles and sandals. The third figure is behind the ox and merely suggested. Background with shaded light.
