Laura Woolin

Laura Woolin was the daughter of Martha and Hall Woolin. She had two brothers, Herbert and Emsall, who worked alongside their father at Gawthorpe Colliery.

Herbert and Emsall both joined the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry; Herbert was wounded in Flanders and died in a prisoner of war camp in April 1918. Emsall was wounded and lost his arm, but came home and married a local girl. Lily Tomlinson.
