Lauren op IJburg

Amsterdam’s IJburg district was designed for a future ‘without dividing lines’. More than 20,000 people of all social classes and from all over the world have settled there since 2002. But it is still far from being a utopian place without dividing lines. Lauren op IJburg is a theatrical walk based on Parable of the Sower, Octavia E. Butler’s dystopian novel – an adaptation of which is being performed at this year’s festival. You will walk in the footsteps of 17 year-old Lauren’s, main character of the book. Actors and voices on a headset will
accompany you on the walk, looking for the parable of IJburg.
