First look: An unidentifiable pachyderm-like monster made from thousands of strips of shredded paper, the sort we are often lazy to make out of office waste. Here, however, someone has been real busy with the shredder!
Second look: For the artist, a utopian warlock and recycler of the waste of our times, this amorphous monster is one we can all identify and play with or project into an unknown enemy. The work is a reaction to the administrative system and its labyrinth of norms—the creature that ends up overwhelming its creator.
